Its driving me insane. INSANE! The whole afternoon and evening she's calm, sleeping, munching, roaming, sleeping, sleeping, sleeping!!!! Then the night comes. My boys are in bed, my house is calm, my fish tank is glowing and what is Oreo doing? DIGGING UP A STORM! I can hear her from my room, it drives me crazy! At first it made me smile, thinking to myself, aww my preggo bunny..now, i just want it to stop lol She wont even dig in her new dig box! Nope, not interested.. she wants the corner of the cage where the most noise can be made!! She use to dig before she was preggo, but only sometimes and never too long. As of lately she's been digging for what seems like all night! Wake up in the morning and there is litter EVERYWHERE, poop pellets across the room, under my couch. Will she stop this after she gives birth.. or will this nasty little habit stick?

Luna has started digging too. Not much though. I guess it's a sign for some does. In the wild, does dig burrows to have their babies. It's hard wired. Oreo is getting ready for babies. I don't know about if the digging will cease once the kits are there. But maybe once the kits are weaned, spaying could help stop that urge to dig. Could takes away the hormones which calms down that hard wired instinct to burrow?

Hard to say--rabbits are diggers, and we have one that is the same except her area of concentration is her litter box.
That's true. Willard, my intacted male loves to dig. Thankfully his favorite place to dig is in the bunny run.

She wasn't like that before, so I'm sure she'll stop it once the babies come. Especially as she'll be busy nursing & otherwise taking care of her babies.

I hope she goes back to the random digging and not the 24/7 keep mommy up at night digging lol. I do plan on fixing her after this. I want them both fixed, its been a battle over here though regarding that. *shrug*

She's digging as I type! Feels good to have a day off work and be able to watch her during the daytime so close to her due date!
