My 17 month old mini lop doe won't stop digging. She digs in the grass when I put her in the playpen and makes really deep holes. It's so bad that I had to put her hutch on cement and I counted 22 deep holes in one week. It wouldn't bother me if she dug one or two, but I don't want her getting out. I also rent my house and I don't think the owner would be too happy to find holes everywhere. I've tried everything I can think of.. Giving her toys, boxes and stuff to dig in, putting her in long grass so digging is harder, putting cardboard down, playing with her, filling in the holes and spreading treats around to keep her busy. She is unspayed. I am going to rebreed her (her first breeding didn't work), would this work her up more or calm her down? Anyone got any ideas?
Thanks :)

As she is an unspayed doe her excessive digging behaviour is very likely because she is digging a burrow for the babies she thinks she will have even if she Is not pregnant. If you do not want her to dig get her spayed. Otherwise she will keep digging and digging.
