My rabbit Beauty keeps digging when she is in the litter box. The weird thing is that she digs at the SIDES of the litter box and not at the corn cob bedding that is in there. Is this normal? She only goes poop in there some of the time. The other times she goes next to the litter box. (she is on a wire floor.) Any suggestions? She likes to hang out in the litter box for a while at a time. When she is not doing that she is sitting next to the box. This is the litter box that she has (just diferent way to hook onto cage). http://www.tractorsupply.com/super-pet-long-john-litter-pan-assortment-2130330

Rabbits are diggers so that's pretty normal.

Put some hay in the litterbox to make it more desirable. Buns will eat hay and do their business at the same time.

If she has picked a different spot to pee, sometimes it's easier to just move the box to that spot.

Good luck!

Ours is neutered and totally empties her box and then lays in it, for more than 4 years now! GRRRRRRRRR!

Weston does this too but he's not fixed. He only does this with 1 of the 2 boxes. He has one in his cage that he uses about 99% of the time. No matter where he is in his area, he will always go to that litter box.

I would also suggest topping the litter with hay. Actually, I would also suggest a larger litterbox. I used to use the smaller corner one, but have since found that the larger ones stay clean longer and are easier to clean. The hay encourages them to stay in there and do their pooping.

Not sure about your cage size though and if it can handle a larger litterbox. Most wire bottoms aren't very roomy. Have you taken a peek at some of the photos of the other members' cages here? That might give you some ideas.

Here's how I do the litter box:
