Ok all I'm on a diet and I need somehelp to avoid blowing my diet on a daily basis. I have found the Cappucino flavored slim fast over lots of ice replaces my dunkin donuts iced cappucino pretty good, but I need more idea. I have decided I don't want to be a fat grandma. See enclosed pics of me, hubby and our grandson, oh and I"ll put up one of my sons and the baby.

You look great! I've also gained a lot of weight in the past couple years and don't want to be a fat grandma :( Life has been very stressful, but I really need to get back on a good diet plan.

I had previously lost 50 pounds by cutting way back on calories (especially watching fat calories) and by drinking a lot of water.

We can do this!!!!!

Pam

I have cut out ALL refined flours and use only whole wheat EVERYTHING. I make my own bread. Trying to cut out the sugar, but I so have a weakness for sweets, crackers, bread, etc. :(

I am soo not doing well right now. Am desperately fighting the desire to go hit the ice cream. Got the electric bill for the month which of course sets me off. Another almost 300 dollar electric bill for a house only 1700 sq ft. Thinking the AC unit is too small for the house cause it runs constantly which is probably what is doing this to my electric. So come income tax check time thinking we need a new AC unit that is bigger.

I have a great tip for ice cream lovers, like me!

Ben & Jerry's now makes frozen yogurt in several of the original flavors. IT IS YUMMY!!!

My favorite is Fudge Brownie. Of course it still has calories, so you can't eat the whole pint, but it is much lower in fat.

The trick to losing weight is cutting calories and fat, exercising moderately, adding fiber to your diet and drinking lots of water. ;)

I got an e-mail once that said:

I know there's a thin woman inside me, crying to get out, but I can usually shut her up with cookies.

Hee hee!

At least you're tall. I'm only 5'6", so every pound shows!

I don't think you look overweight and I can't believe you're a grandma!

You must have been young when you had your children.

Guess what is right in front of my house?

The ice cream store :?

Another eating issue for me is the fact that we eat out when we're on the road traveling to rabbit shows. A lot of times I combine the trips into mini vacactions and I spend a good part of the weekend at the hotel reading, eating and watching Animal Planet. I'm going to cut back on the shows and learn to say "no". It's just too much to be gone every weekend and keep up on homeschooling the kids.

Mikey is actually my step-grandson, but we don't use the stepword in our house. All the kids are our kids (only the three boys are biologically mine).

There are 5 kids total, Joanna 21, Jonathan 19, Jimmy 15, Zachary 14 and Jakob 12. I homeschool Jimmy, Zachary and Jakob.

Hi there!

My mum gets the Skinny Cow lollies. I am not really a fan of icecream, its too cold

Do you have losing weight clubs in the US?I dunnoifyou have aTV programme in the US called ' LittleBritian', but its like FatFighters;)Mymum use to go to Weight Watchers, and you get all the books with howmany points a food is, and you have the limit of 30 points a day, depending on your weight and height. I think a slice of toastis 2 points, and say the butter spread is another point, so it all addsup!

I have been using the books and points and it really works.Ive been doing it for about a month and ive been losing 2 or 3 lbs aday.

When your weight goes down, you gradually lessen the points.

Also a two stick kitkat is about 3 points :DSo you dont haveto cut out on all chocolate, you can have what ever you want as long asyou dont go over the points.

Oh also a trick, you should weigh yourself first thing in themorning, with no clothes on. Otherwise it isnt a truereading. :)

Well to update you all I am down to172. So I've lost about 8lbs so far. Nowthat is from end of July. So figure in a month.Guess that's not too bad. And that's including mothernature's 5lb weight gain that should go away in about 5 days.

Too cold? It clearly must not get very hot where you live.Considering it's been at least about 100 here all summer, I love icecream, now I need to go scoop some out.

Oh, and congratulations nermal!

Bread is my weakness. I put on so much weight ifi eat bread and its one fo my fav foods! I'm fat basically because idon't eat meals at proper times and i snack too much. :(

My Mum lost 3 stone on "Slimming World". She basically worked on apoints system that should could only ahve 10 "sins" a day. E.g a glassof red wine was 4 sins, but things like fruit and veggies, yoghurts etcwere free. They also did flexi-days. So if you were going to a partyyou would make sure the day before you only ate free things, and thesame for the day after the party, meaning you'd have 30 sings in oneday to splash out.

She got voted to goto the"Woman of the Year" thingyby her class, she didn't win, but it was till pretty good!

have you tried fitday.com

Ive been using it since 2002! first to loose, then maintain and nowafter a two week wdw vacation to loose 4 lbs that crept back on
