dd has a really wet nose.. is this normal?

I just gotten a new rabbit, a holland lop ear with angora mix. When I first saw him and touch him, I can feel his wet nose. Such that when i feel his nose, i can see water on my finger. He is also quite 'shaky', panting more quickly than my first rabbit. And he is so 'wet' that his fur below his mouth start sticking with a lot of bedding. He also has a bald patch on his back/neck area. At night, (because I put his cage in my room), I can hear him sneezing. I am afraid he might have some sickness, so currently I separated him and my other rabbit. But they do have a short contact before.

Before buying I actually asked the pet shop about the wet nose, panting and lost of fur, and they say it is normal? I even asked the veterinary consultant in the pet shop. And he said the rabbit has been like this since they brought him in 2 months ago and he said he is okay. I don't know what should I do now. I'm worried for him and I don't know if I should trust the pet shop and let him continue be like this?

The beddings are always on to him no matter how many times i removed them.

If you can find a rabbit savvy vet, call and ask them about the symptoms you described here. Don't have a lot of faith in someone that works for a pet store--feel their interests may be conflicted.

i hate tosee this--,the bun is sick,,may have fleas/mites-and dental issues--please seek advice from an exotic specialist--the pet stores are concerned about revenue not the bunny---an exam is in order to confirm health distress problem/solutions,,--this is repairable--sincerely james waller

Go to a Rabbit Specialty Vet, not connected to the Pet Store. This bunny is sick and needs immediate attention. Something is definitely not right.

So shameful, all for the almighty dollar that they let this bunny suffer for two months. It's not normal for a bunny to have a wet nose, sneeze and have bald spots (unless molting)

You were smart to separate your bunnies. Hopefully you will get some answers and get this sweetie feeling better.

Hi all, thanks for the reply.

dd has seen the vet. And it's just fur mite. As for the wet nose, I will have to monitor because he doesn't sneeze anymore. So it could be his way of drinking. The vet said that his breathing is normal and clear. Phew.. I'm actually quite relief when I hear all these. Seems like it's not a big problem.
