Kitty had another great day. So pleased with the direction her Cals are headed. The judges on both days said if her Cals were closer to 10 weeks (like the ones from the other clubs) they'd have cleaned house. At least there's next year. :) She's done a great job picking out her starter stock, and evaluating her babies. It's really neat when other breeders, that have been breeding/showing for years, are asking her about her stock and asking what's for sale.

Nestle went BoB again, over Karmen. He also has 2 months on her, but nothing but wonderful comments from the judges both days.

Cals:
Abby won her junior doe class
Agent Gibbs won his junior buck class
Trisha won her senior doe class, with Twila in 3rd..and she went BoB. There were 83 total Californians shown, so the class was super big.
Ruby didn't place, as expected
Alfie took 4th or 5th (can't remember)

French Lops:
Roo won the junior doe, with Frostie in second, and Boo in 3rd (out of a small class of 5)
Max won her senior doe class, and took BoB
Grump got another blue...but he was the only one in the 6/8 bucks. LOL
Sonny took 2nd (out of only 4). The judge today gave me some ideas on getting him to eat his damn pellets, so he'll fill out.

Her one meat pen took a 5th, out of 70+ pens (can't remember exact total...too much to keep track of. LOL) The other one didn't place. But I did have 2 rabbit people that told me that they were going to bid on her pens, so we'll see how they do a the sale on Friday. The judge breeds New Zealands...the rest of the placings all went to New Zealand rabbits, except Kitty's Cals. I think he was a bit partial to the NZs. LOL

Kitty showed her brother's horse, Racer, in halter today. She had a friend show her horse (they were in the same class). Anyway, she ended up taking Grand Champion with her brother's horse, and her horse ended up with a 4th. He went Grand Champion last year, with Racer getting a 4th. We thought that was pretty funny.

Tomorrow is a "free" day. Then they run their speed events on Wednesday night.

All in all, great showing so far. :)

At each show that I go to there are over 100 - 200+ Californian's there. Where I am from EVERYBODY shows Californian's and Mini Rex. I have been to shows were there were 70+ Californian's entered in the same class.

Congrats on all of the awards though :)

Fantastic! I'm glad they are all doing so well.

I still think Boo needs to wander over to my house because I am in love with your flops! :inlove:

Thanks, guys!! We've been to just about every show in Pennsylvania so far this year, and there's usually only a small number of Cals. Most shows their numbers are lower than Flops (which are usually really low).

I sold 2 of the Cals and 2 Flop babies so far. I had someone asking about one of Ad's does, so we'll see if they come back for her on Friday. I'm hoping that all of Ad and Rosa's babies sell, so I won't have to buy 15 more cages. *crosses fingers*
