I was wondering if I bred a rabbit carrying c[sup]chd [/sup]to my sable/smoke lines how it would interfere with the colour. Is it a good idea at all?

Is the gene dominant over the light chin gene? Could I breed it out again in the next generation?

Depends on whats in the A gene.
If it's a self carrying cchd, then don't do it. You're running the risk of self chins... Which can be tricky. They look almost identical to blacks. (However I've been told that they often have the wrong eye color, too.)

If you took one of those, and put it back in your shadeds, you'll just end up with more of them, and seals likely.

I'd say no-go, but your choice.

(HAHA, and this is coming from someone who did a no-no and bred a chestnut to a smoke yesterday... oops.)

It would be a self carrying c[sup]chd [/sup]so it's probably better to avoid. What a shame:(

Yes, it's dominant over light chin (shaded cchl), and yes, it can cause marbled and miscolored eyes.
