Hello and Welcome Chipperluv.

There really is no set time. You will notice ifChipper'snails start getting a bit long. It isdefinitely worth it in the longrun to get yourlittle one used to getting it done. Even just to trim the tips down.Touch her feet. Most of all patience and try not to scare her.

There is also an awesome thread called the Rabbit Cheat Sheet. It has some Awesome information in it.

Chipper is a cutie.

If you think your rabbit is to small to useregular nail clippers on, because her nail isn't that long but they aresharp. You can use a nail filer to file them down a bit, just so theyare not so sharp. I have to do this with my bird, because she is scaredof the nail clippers. Also make sure it is a new file because used onewon't really work.

Greetings and Welcome to the forum.

We started clipping ours buns nails as soon as they got sharp.

It will help the bunny get used to clipping.

Use a good set of clippers. I would not recommend using regular"people" clippers that might crush or split the nail. We use these...

It will also help control the growth of the quick. As the nail grows,so grows the quick. Clip just the tip at first, and then "whittle" awaya bit at a time.

Holding a flashlight behind the nail can help locate the quick. Clipping in strong daylight is also helpful to locate the quick.
