cucumber leaves are on the HRS approved veggies list, so I bought a little cucumber plant when I was starting my bunny garden. it's growing like crazy and I'm stupidly proud of myself for not killing it. it's got BIG leaves on it, so I picked a few. the bunns won't eat them - not even gaz, and she eats everything :(

I noticed they've got a weird texture and are kinda fuzzy and was wondering if that might be Gaz's problem with them? (Nala's problem is that she's just plain picky, lol)

I think it's maybe the young leaves. I planted a few squash plants in the spring and some little critter came and ate the new leaves on the plant and it wouldn't grow after that.

do the leaves change later after it starts growing cucumbers or something? I don't even want the silly cucumbers, so I had planned to just pick a leaf off now and then, but if they're not gonna eat it I can just wait.

I think I need to repot the thing alone if I'm gonna keep it, it seems to have vine-like tendrils and some of them are trying to latch to my poor basil plants.
