Creating a trio. Add a male or female?

Hey guys! I have two neutered mini Lop brothers and am interested in a possible trio. Question is should I add a male or a female. I know I need to have the new addition fixed first. What are your thoughts? The brothers are very bonded.

Adding a third rabbit to any bonded pair (regardless of gender) always risks the breaking of the original bond. Doesn't matter how well bonded the pair seem to be.

Getting a female would likely cause the two males to compete for her attention. Getting a male may also be difficult as it isn't always easy to bond 2 males, let alone 3.

Usually trios or larger groups consist of 1 male and the rest females.

I believe successful trios are usually accomplished when all 3 are introduced for the first time at the same time (not adding a 3rd to an established pair).
