Some of you might remember a little over a year ago when i found Crabtree in a box after he had been abandoned by the side of the road. He was no bigger than the size of my palm and i had to feed him with a syringe full of formula for months. He was the cutest thing
Now...he is a giant oaf.
I felt bad for him when i would leave him throughout the day by himself so i thought having a friend would help. So i went online and found a foundation that helps rescue bunnies being sold illegally in Los Angeles. Through this group he met Evelyn.
They hit it off almost instantly so i took her home with me that night and it's been great. They cuddle together all the time and share pieces of lettuce and groom each other constantly.
and my current iPhone wallpaper
Just thought I would share my new bunny with you all. If any of you are curious and even have a dollar to spare here is the website to the foundation that i adopted Evelyn from
Bunny World Foundation
It is a no kill animal shelter located in Los Angeles that saves illegal baby bunnies being sold in the Fashion District of Los Angeles. The founder of the foundation goes down to the area almost daily to buy these bunnies off the dealers hands and raises them to try and find healthy and happy homes like Evelyn has found. These bunnies are sold on the street sometimes at only 3-4 weeks of age and many of them die because of naive owners think that giving them a carrot and they will be fine when they actually need formula.
I remember finding Crabtree and thinking all he needed was lettuce and carrots but he wouldnt eat those. When i finally thought about a milk formula i went to Petco and picked some up. As soon as I put that syringe near his mouth he started gobbling it up and i started bubbling in tears because it was so cute and emotional.
Please try and donate as any little dollar amount will help.
