I just noticed how much Max looks like Hazel-Mom's Hazel and was wondering if they were the same type of rabbit? He acts completely domestic, he's actually the sweetest of my 3. I don't have a lot of background on him, I got him off of Craigslist and she got him from someone else, so I *think* I'm his 3rd home. He just looks SO much like Hazel that I think he may be a tamed wild bunny. If he is, will that make vetting him more difficult? I thought that I had a rear end shot of him but I don't. The top part of his tail is black and the underside is white.

He's very cute, our wild bunnies up here in Canada are very slin with a real long nose.

These were from last summer, I haven't gotten any pictures yet this summer.

Susan:)

Hes definitely domestic (although I can see why you would think he might not be). Cottons who are rescued from the wild never really become tame. My friend does rehab and even the ones she raises from a baby wont let her hold them or anything. They never lose their wild quality.

Hes just an agouti colored domestic bun :)Very cute!

Eastern Cottontails are very slim and definitely stay wild or at least wild for the most part. I know - I have one!

Hazel is a western cottontail and totally different and very unusual for a wild bunny.

He looks like some of the mini rex mixes I've seen (they usually have normal fur), with his slender face and body. My foster mama Jazzy is another one although she's black. Definitely domestic and very cute!

Ok, I gotcha, thanks guys! I figured that he is a domestic since he is so sweet, but he really looks A LOT like Hazel lol! I knew that Cloverbunny was wild too and they look NOTHING alike, that's why I was a little like..."hmm, could he be?!"
