I came across this ad today on our kijiji site. It is for "purebred mini rex" However, I am having a hard time believing the ad.. mostly because of the picture. Here is the link to the ad. The fur looks too long to be mini rex! I am tempted to call this person on it, but I want to be sure that I am not just seeing wrong! lol. I do not want a person new to bunnies to purchase a "purebred mini rex" and find out down the road that their mini rex has grown larger that they had expected and need to rehome it or something.

Agree, fur doesn't look like pure mini rex. It says the father is registered but no mention of the mother...

Thank you!! I was certain I was right, and know what a mini rex rabbit and kit look like. I asked for pictures of the rest of the bunnies as well as the mom.. haven't had a reply yet. A part of me wants to post an ad saying that those are NOT purebred mini rex. I was thinking netherland dwarf mix.

Probably a person who owns some pets, thought she'd breed them, possibly got them from either pet homes or from someone who may have told her what THEY were told, OR simply was sold stock from an less than honest individual. We don't know.

I would not go in with a "how dare you lie" about this attitude, but more as a... informative, let me see if I can help you attitude. I've had people ask about buying rare Alaskan rex, and teacup lops, and this that and the other thing.... because SOMEONE they know has one and so they would like one too.
