I was just thinking about Tina and her strollerfor Apollo but strollers are too expensive to buy (unless I happen tofind out at a garage sale) so I was thinking that perhaps I couldconvert a wagon to suit my needs.

I'd search for a good old fashion metal wagon and add a sort of cage ontop. By that I mean that I would measure the wagon and make a woodframe that would sit in the wagon. That frame would be covered withwire. I'd make another square frame that would sit in top of the otherpart which I would attach with hinges and a latch. Finally, I'd drillholes in the side of the wagon and attach the whole frame to the wagonusing zip ties.

I just wanted to post this to see if anyone had any ideas, suggestions, or can see some possible problems.

Thanks.

Would you be pulling the rabbits around behindyou in the wagon? My only concern would be that you could notkeep as good an eye on them in case of dogs, etc.

I did something like that for my hamster when I was little, sadly my grandpa's dog got into it and ate it. :(

I think if you have the top somehow attached to the wagon so it cannot come off you will be good with it.;)

I'd be watching them carefully.

As I said, I'd attach the top by drilling holes in the metal and using slip ties to go aroundparts of the cage and the wagon.

I actually picked Apollo's stroller up at agarage sale for $10. Most local papers advertise garage salesin their classified ads. Just watch for the ones that have baby items.chances are they list any strollers for sale. God LUck.

Tina

I figured either you did that or it was one from your son that you still had.

I was planning on going to some garage sales for that anyways.:)But my boys are not as laid back as Apollo and I know frompast experiences that they might try to jump out. So either way I'd endup converting it to be like a cage.

They'll still look oh so cute. I'm goingto be hitting the sales as I need to find two more, one for each of thegirls lol. Garage sales rock.

You may be surprised. Once you get moving the motion sometimes is enough to keep them from jumping out.

Tina

Soon you're going to need one that's meant for 3! But I thought you weren't getting those 2 girls? Did I miss something?!

As for tem jumping out, I think they still may because I tried puttingthem on something that moved once (I forget what it was) and theyjumped out.

I would like to take Mr. Wiggles to do pet therapy and I was thinking of using the same idea! :D

Tyler and William go to Tyler's school once amonth for what they call lekotec means lending liabary. Tylerborrowed a wagon. He was inside and just for fun we bucked Luv in. Wedidnt take her anyway outside. What i wonder would the bumps would betoo much for a bunny.

That'sa really good idea. When we moved last spring, my Mom wanted to get rid of our old metalwagon, but I wouldn't let her because I want her to pull my kids aroundin it....hmmm...maybe she can pull the buns around first when we cometovisit. LOL

Maybe you should try one of the newer plastic ones. Theywouldn't rust and would probably be easier to clean, although thedrilling might be a little harder.

A most definite concern of mine, too.

If you're walking along, and the boys are in back of you, if an attackwere to take place, by the time you turn around, major damage could bedone.

With a stroller, the rabbits are in front of you, and you're more aptto see danger approaching. Not only that, but most strollers come witha sun protector. That would be key to have in case you were in an areawhere they'd be exposed to direct sunlight.

Tina's a great source. Thanks, Tina. I'll definitely go that route should I decide to show Cali off.

Also, consider The Buck Pack. Buck carries the rabbit in front of himso that he can protect it from dogs, people, or sounds that scarehim/her.

I think it's Marshalls that makes a ferret pack that straps to thefront of you like a baby front pack. It would definitely fita bunny because it fits a few ferrets.

The one breeder fell through. I cotacted some breederes and gotawesome replies. In July I am going to be getting not 2 but 3 Flemish.I'm getting the girls and a buck-Adara,Damara and Atlas. So now I needto pick up 3 more strollers so the whole family can go onoutings.

Tina

No, you've got to get a pair of tandem strollers! Do they make them for quads, LOL?

You might even be able to get some retailer and/or stroller company to"front" you a brand new quad stroller for the publicity value, if youwork it right.
