Sorry to seem like I'm copying Becca and Peg lol, I've been meaning to post this since Friday but never got around to it.

I had my haircut on Friday- I don't have any money at the moment but had an appointment booked that I'd forgotten about, so Steve sent me along and treated me, bless him :) He thought I deserved a treat.

This is what I looked like before:

And this is my new haircut. I'm not sure if I like it or not? I apologise for looking like an idiot in the pictures, I couldn't get a decent looking one lol. And I look all yellowy and tired and foggy eyed because I've been ill this week...

I thought I quite liked it until my mum came over this afternoon and noticed it. Her exact words were 'meh.... it's alright I guess' :( Made me feel a bit....

Tell me honestly! What do you think? I guess it's not so terrible if it really is bad... In a few weeks I can brush it to one side and sort of look like I did before again....

I like it. Some people cannot pull off bangs, but I think they look good on you! :)

Your mom reminds me of my dad. Whenever we ask him if he likes something he's always like "It's alright" or "It's okay," and I don't even think he's aware of the effect that has on other people. I wouldn't take what your mom said to heart because a lot of people (myself included) say things like that without thinking, and have no clue as to how it makes other people feel. My guess is it is more of an automatic response for her, and she doesn't really mean it.

LOL don't worry about copying it isn't copying really, its cool everyones getting there haircut at the same time :p

But honestly I think it really does suit you!!!

And the pictures are fine you don't look ill at all

Beautiful :D

It looks great to me, not really any different to the 'before' except your fringe goes all the way across, instead of being swept to one side.

You have gloriously shiney hair, it's lovely .

Thank you guys :)

Nobody apart from Steve had seen it until today, so when my mum said that it just sort of crushed me- I'd spent the past few days thinking I had a nice haircut and then I thouht 'OMG! It looks terrible?!'

Makes me feel better.... Thank you :)

I love the way you guys in the US call it 'bangs'.... it seems like such a funny term! :p

The bangs thing is funny to me too, hehe :p. I always imagine exploding strands of hair!

People can be so "meh" sometimes, don't take what your mum says to heart. You are a lovely looking woman with a lovely hairstyle; you look wonderful. It's a cute hairstyle and it's what I had a few months ago, until my fringe grew out.

A bit O/T but I have a purple dress, it's my favourite and I think it suits me so nicely. Mat told me yesterday that I shouldn't ever wear it again as it's unflattering and I don't suit dresses. I was so upset :(, I love it, I was going to pick it apart and use it as a pattern to make more. I thought it was the only thing I looked good in.

Some people just can't be pleased.

Lol Michelle, I imagine the exploding strands of hair too! :p

See now when I hear of that happening to someone else, like what your aunt said, I'm up in arms! How rude! Don't listen to her, if you like the dress and think you look good, you wear it!

But when it happens to me I think 'oh no! I don't look good after all!' and it makes me question myself lol....

I like how you all say "wonky" and I've been so tempted to use that term here and there, but I don't think it would fly where I come from. I'd probably get some strange looks :p

Lol Jen, Mat isn't my aunt, he's my partner of the last 7 years. I sure hope he's not my aunty .
What on earth?? I'm SO sorry! I don't know what is wrong with me today. My vision is really blurry, but I honestly could have sworn I read 'my aunt told me'...

:embarrassed:

Sorry!

That's ok, you gave me a laugh :D, I NEED a laugh today.

Poor thing are you feeling dizzy? I have bad vision, double vision so it's hard to read. I see a second version of every letter I read, sits on top and slightly above the original letter, very annoying.

Edit: everything looks like this:

Sorry to go OT again :p

Still think your hair looks good!

I like it, looks good on you.

I have to ask what you call bangs, lol, i love finding out the different way things get called.

What do you call

Bangs

how about a pocket book (otherwise known as a purse)

i love when people say Cheeky lil bugger, lol.

I can't say for Jen but:

Bangs = a fringe
Pocketbook/purse = handbag

At least in NZ anyway and we mostly use UK terminology.

We say cheeky monkey and little bugger a lot, also cheeky little...er...it's a swear workd haha :p. Ryhmes with hit!

LOL!

Pocketbook.... a purse? Like a wallet?

Purse over here is known as a handbag or just a bag....

Cheeky bugger is classic! I love it! I say 'rubbish' as well a lot lol... It's one of my most overused words!:p

Ha ha. I always say 'rubbish'.:D I don't really say 'bugger' though, I think that is a bit more of a Southern thing. I always say 'mint' (as in, that is really good/mint) andI always call people/animals 'little sods' as well, but that is an affectionate term in my book!:p
