So today I went to work trying to convert my walk-in closet into more space for Weston. I can't let him roam my room, but he needs more space besides my bed.
I cleaned out my closet and put foam mats down. I do still have some plastic containers on the floor in there, but I don't think he'll mess with them. It will also make more space for me because i'll be able to keep his toys in there instead of on my floor where I trip over them.
My closet isn't very big, but it should definitely work! He'll have access to that and his cage all night and during the day when he's not on the bed with me (i usually spend a few hours with him each day).
His cage will be positioned just outside of my closet.
Here are pics of what I have so far! It should be done by tomorrow. :)

I think Weston will love his new suite. It really turned out well. Thanks so much for sharing.

Can't wait to hear how Weston likes it.

It's not the most attractive setup, but it'll work!
He was a bit hesitant at first, but he's settling in nicely (after he rearranged it to his liking ;))
He slept in his igloo for awhile and now he's binking (or is it called binkying?)
I love my little goofball.

I am sure hell like it just fine, just extra room for him!
May want to put a baby gate or something above the cage so he doesnt jump on top of it. and some plastic guards for the trim cause he will probablychew on that

binkying i think? lol

It's too bad their designated areas never stay that clean

Great space! Where's Weston though? I would love to see him enjoying his space :)

I agree, a baby gate would be good because this would be easy to escape and you don't want Weston to meet up with one of the dogs by accident.

Thanks for the advice about the baby gate. I have one in the garage so i'll try and get that up today.
I've only been able to get 2 decent pics of him in his man-cave. I should be able to get better ones when he is more awake.

He blends right in! (He's right next to the pink stuffed animal)

He definitely seems to be enjoying his new room. And it's nice because now I don't feel so bad when I put him to bed for the night. His cage was just too small for him to be expected to spend much time confined to it.
I just tried to get a video of him playing, but he is being a brat tonight. He's saw my phone (which means camera to him) and he went and hid in his igloo and wouldn't come out. I offered him a yogie but he made me set it down and walk away before he would eat it. Then he ran and hid elsewhere. :rollseyes

Glad to hear Weston is enjoying the room. He does blend into the background. I have a black bunny and it is hard to take pics.

Weston isn't being bratty right now. It's all new to him and he's just settling in and exploring his new room. That's why he's hiding and that's why he wouldn't take the treat from you. Though he loves you, he's in a new space.

He'll get used to it soon, and truly feel safe.

K:)
