Our bunny is constantly sneezing all around, and we're not quite sure what the problem is.

Sometimes he'll do 10 in a row! Is there a problem, and if so, what should we do to help?

EDIT: I just went and checked on Spots and he's running around likecrazy and eating everything. He'll stop and look around the cage, thencontinue eating, and continue that process. By the way, when spotssneezes, he does them continously in a row.

Should we take him to the vet as an emergency? Or can this wait til tomorrow?

:( Spots is trying to move his head up to breathe, I think.

I'm not sure if we can get to a vet at this time of night either. Ifanyone has had problems with rabbit "pneumonia" please help!

I would try to get an appointment sometime today... better safe than sorry.

Running a medicated vaporizer can help ease breathing if he is indeed struggling to breath.

Pneumonia in rabbit can be treated with antibiotics, but the diseasecan progress very quickly. If the rabbit is having difficultybreathing, it will be laying down with its head raised and may begin tobreathe through its mouth. A change in gum and skincolor color can signify a lack ofoxygen.Albino rabbit's eyes will begin toturn purple. Heart problems can also mimicrespiratory illness.

How is he doing now?

Hey all. I just checked up on Spots a fewminutes ago and I can safely say he looks better. He's not sneezing ashorribly as he was yesterday and I don't hear as much wheezinganymmore. We're still going to go check up at the vet this evening.

But I've noticed something interesting as well. Spots will go crazyrunning around his cage, shaking all around like he's got something inhis fur.

Although, he'll only do it in his cage. Once he comes outside, he'llstop shaking and start to play with us. It looks like the running isthat he's trying to be playful, but I'm not sure about him itchinghimself and shaking.

Aww, poor Spots. He isn't feeling so well.

Sounds good that the sneezing is going down. Update us of how the check-up went

Yeah, definitely.

I'm hoping it's some sort of fur mites. At least it's better than that respiratory infection.

Update: Spots is doing much better now! His sneezes are rare. Maybe 2 - 3 sneezes in an hour. =)

He also stopped shaking all around and putting his nose in the air. We gave him a baby carrot and he had about a quarter of it.

I'll give you guys an update after we take Spots to the vet!
