As I was just about to make up a new challenge for the "breeder's" game I ran into extreme difficulties. I was trying to find the genotype for my pet rabbit Raylann and what I came up with wasn't any different from the genetic code for my siamese sables.

Raylann's colour appears like a dark sable or rather seal but the colour is distributed more or less evenly over the body. The saddle sometimes turning brownish (maybe from the sun) I always believed she was a sable/seal but not necessarily siamese (Is there such a thing or could her colour be something totally different?).

I thought so that's why I'm confused. Raylann doesn't look like a Siamese sable as regards the distribution of the colour. Yet the colour allover looks like the dark points of a sable:? What is she (she's in my avatar by the way)

She looks like a siamese sable (I do say Sable for short. I hate typing out siamese every time.)

She's a lionhead, correct? Wool distorts color pretty badly... I often see blacks that look like siamese sables, because of the distortion of the body color. :3

She must be as there is no other colour she resembles really. It's just odd not to see the darker face and lighter body.

Just FYI, seals are aaB-c[sup]chl[/sup]c[sup]chl[/sup]D-E-
I know. But would a seal still not have a dark sable pattern? Or does the second cchl
upset the pattern?

The second cchl is what makes it a seal and not a sable. It makes the color darker.
