Ok, I got the last one sorted out! He is a little Sable Point Martin and very cute. Now it is time for a rabbit that I have had for almost 2 years. I don't have any pictures that can help as far as I know but I can explain the shaft. He is a broken so it's harder to tell. On his(and his daughter's) head and ears the hair is all white3/4th the waywhere it turns either dark black, dull black, or a sabled darkish brown/grey. On his ears the ares are tipped in white,if I remember exactly correct. On his(and his daughter's) back the hairs are white up till the tip then it goes a sabled like brown. I believeheis sable of some kind because his two daughters(which which is the same color) have the look to their eyes that sables have. His one daughter is a Sable Chinchilla and the fact her mom is black(carrying cchl) means it had to come from him.

Help? I've been through frosty, a weird form of sable chinchilla, sable frosted pearl and now agouti sable. I would like to figure out the real color :p

Just in case here is a picture that MAY help, if not at least you can see my pretty boy :biggrin2:

Is he a Holland or a Mini Lop? The breed description and variety names differ.

If a Mini, I'd call him a Sable Chinchilla.

In Hollands, he would be a broken Frosty because the Holland standard doesn't list Sable Chinchilla as a variety. (Although, genetically we generally consider frosty to be non-extension).

He is a Holland Lop. He does look like a Mini Lop but if you saw him posed back whenI got him(he was 18 months, he is now 4 years) you would see but now that is is older and out of shape(for a Holland) he looks more like a mini. He could pass as both weirdly enough....

His daughter is a Sable Chinchilla and she looks totally diffrent from him and his other daughter, is it just because they are broken and she is solid? Weird....

I thought sable chinchilla and frosty where two diffrent colors that where geneticly diffrent, I am wrong? So are ermine, sable chinchilla, and frosty all the same? See I thought frosties whereall shaded however ermine and sable chinchilla where not.

Can you post a photo of the ring color of your rabbit from a spot on the body? I can get more detailed on the color and I'll list all the genotypes of the varieties being discussed.
