This is Coco, a Valentine's present and supposedly male bunny

These are Magic and Miracle who miraculously appeared in our garden about 12 weeks ago. It turned out Coco is a girl and their father is a handsome black and white lop from next door.

After we decided to keep Magic and Miracle I went completely mad and bought a very cute dwarf lionlop we called Lint. Here he is

Little did we know.... six (!!!!!!!) more bunnies emerged from underneath our shed last week. They are gorgeous (father is a lionhead from next door) and very strong.
Four of them are brown, one is mainly white with some orange markings and another is orange/white

I have ten rabbits altogether now. Hope Coco isn't going to drop another litter before her spaying appointment next week. We are keeping a very close eye on her.

I know, isn't it typical! But I'd say the dad would argue that Coco was asking for it - it's always her who went over into their garden, never the other way around. What a hussy...
We found a home for the white one. Friends of mine who used to have rabbits will take him next week once they've built a hutch. We called that one Smudge after his/her grandfather. (who also lives next door)
P.S. My friends decided to take two bunnies. I hope they'll build a big enough hutch. Only need to house for more...

We took Miracle and three of the babies (Nala, Mouse and Ginger) to the pet shop today. It was quite a drive byt certainly worth it. The owners breed Dutch rabbits themselves and the whole family love rabbits. I think they'll be in good hands and their set up was rather rabbit friendly and caring. Of course, I have no control over who will buy them but they charge slightly above avarage so hopefully that'll discourage people who are not that committed. On the way back we called to a rather modern petshop which just got in fabulous new display units and from talking to staff previously I know they have a lot of knowledge and enthusiasm for rabbits. They said they were delighted to take the remaining babies ( Simba and Pips) on wednesday when we get Coco back after her spaying. It felt as good as having secured a place for the kids in a really good child care facility. When we got home my friend was already waiting to pick up her reserved white rabbit (Smudge Jr.) They had taken the trouble to build a huge hutch during the week.
I am so relieved. I thought I'd be more upset in particular after parting with Miracle but I think I've done the right thing. We had some great quality time with Magic and Lint on the Sofa earlier. They were so affectionate to us and to each other. they also did well with their toilet tray on the sofa. Apart from one accident most went in. Overall a great day

All of those bunnies look lovely. Little Lint could grow up to be quite mischevious, looking so sweet :)

Well done on finding good homes for the babies. Coco sounds quite the adventurer rabbit (and I bet the neighbours buns loved it, lol).

Hope to hear more about the buns staying with you.

Oh the neighbour's lop and the lionhead had the time of their life and they didn't even have to leave their garden for it. I hope after her operation she won't be that forthcoming. Besides she doesn't seem to be able to get through anymore. Our barricade seems to work at last.
The two remaining babies have overtaken Lint in growth now. I wonder has he grown at all. He is beginning to move much more like a rabbit now. The other day when he was out in the new extended run he raced around about thirty laps in an enourmous speed ears flying: "I'm a rabbit, I'm a rabbit, I'm a rabbit..." It was hilarious to watch. I hope he has convinced the guinea pig who's been trying to nibble his tail and mount him. He never ever did that to the other rabbits. Poor Lint!

I know, I somewhat miss Miracle but we simply couldn't have s that many rabbits and it appears that magic and Lint are getting on fine. We've had them with us in the living room and they were great fun. Magic and Miracle together in the living room would have been too much of a handful. I'm sure Miracle is in good hands either in the store ore with a new owner. She was certainly the most adorable rabbit there. I do trust the owner of the shop.
I'll post pictures of the remaining trio soon.
