for thoes of you who know what cocoa's hutch looks like you will understand this funny thing that he did

today when I got home he had his pellett dish out in the main part of his hutch

( I keep it in the hideaway part ) & it was empty

it was he was trying to tell me something

like

"hay lady fill er up please"

bunnies are so smart & funny

Lmao. I do not know of his hutch but I definitely understand what you are saying as mine do the same. My guinea pig was the best for that. Lmao. She would squeal and while she did that, Wiggles would toss the bowl about. Bunnies are definitely smarter than people think. :p

Aww, hehe! :)

My own can be like that too, Maddie (who is free roaming in my room) likes to lick my face constantly if she thinks I've slept in too late...at 5 o'clock in the morning. :nope:

Yup, sounds like Cocoa is trying to train you :D

I have a similar story to share (and this shows just how clever our bunnies are): every morning I get up for work around 7am to feed the bunnies. I feed Basil and Max first of course because they free roam in my bedroom. Well, Max figured out that as soon as Mommy wakes up he gets fed....

Sooo...now every morning Max jumps up on my bed and either stands on my chest and stares at me or sits next to me and licks my face until I get up.

Hes the best alarm clock- the only hitch is that his "wake up call" has been coming earlier and earlier..basically whenever he's hungry. Some mornings he wakes me up around 530 for breakfast.

Edit: Just read your post Michaela, we really are slaves, huh? ;)

Oh yes! Sounds like Maddie and Max (that sounds so cute!) would get on like a house on fire. ;)

My family thinks it's crazy that I put up with it, they don't realise that Madison is the boss :blueribbon:hehe

We have one of those Bunny Kabobs (with different wood chewies on it). It has a bell on the bottom.

Baby used to ring the bell with her little paw if I didn't get up on time (to feed them). I was not allowed to sleep in on weekends.

If I could just have her back, she could ring it at 3 AM everymorning and I would be more than happy to get up.

Boy, can I relate to the "hey, woman, get me some food" thing. When Pumpkin needs more hay, or is ready for her pellets, and thinks we're being remiss, she starts clanging her hay pan against the side of the cage. I swear if she could talk, she'd be loudly clearing her throat, and saying, "Excuse me, people, which part of 'I'm hungry and it's time to be fed' that you don't understand?" Don'tcha just love 'em to pieces????:biggrin2:
