I've been using cocoa powder as an ingredient in a dry shampoo--- for me! Not for my bun. But I'm curious if this is an environmental hazard? Nova grooms me but usually stays away from my hair. Is it possible that a tiny bit of exposure could make her sick? Or does it need to be directly ingested to cause harm?

Thanks!

How much is in there? If it's a tiny amount I would think it's ok, but then again I'm no expert but have had buns eat small amounts of chocolate.. not by my choice them being nosey and getting into things and they were ok. If you are not directly giving them the cocoa powder and it's second hand I would think it's ok. We have so many other things second hand like perfume etc in our environment that they are exposed to... how long have you been using it and have you seen any problems with your bun since using it?

It would really depend on how much your bun is exposed to and ends up ingesting. Personally, I wouldn't want to risk it.

Cocoa powder is much different then a rabbit nibbling on some regular chocolate. The powder is pure. Ive heard of dogs just getting a dusting on their nose and dying from that.
Chocolate toxicity is seriously dangerous.
We just luck out that most chocolates humans eat, have next to no actual chocolate in them, their all milk and flavours and sugar.
