My rabbit seems to have on and off issues around her anal glands. Usually one will get a little red and gooey but will clean right up after a good butt bath and ointment. When she gets solid clogs they also clean up after a warm wash and a little patience. The other day I noticed she had a harder than usual clog and some soreness. I gave her a good warm butt bath again but the mass wont budge and there seems to be what looks like a whitish bumb on her skin above . Maybe like a swollen pimple thing. In the picture it is right next to the dark mass by the edge of the region. Any ideas of what her issue is and how to resolve it? Also any suggestions to help prevent soreness and **** in the future?

Binky bunny has a section about cleaning anal glands on the monthly maintenance page. I've never had to deal with anal gland issues, though, so that's all I can offer ><

Unless someone else can chime in with better/more detailed information, I would definitely get her in to see the vet and discuss preventative care with them.

It's possible that there is an infection, in which case your rabbit would need antibiotics and maybe an anti inflammatory. I would suggest taking your rabbit in to be checked by your vet.
