Cleaning Day

So, I've noticed that I'm one of the top ten posters today. That doesn't usually happen.

I'm home on Spring Break. I dropped my daughter off with my mom and I'm going to pick her up tomorrow. So, my goal is to go through everything in her room today and get rid of stuff she doesn't play with anymore. I can't seem to do it while she's home or she tries to save everything and anything. I've filled 3 lawn trash bags full of trash and toys so far. I've filled 2 laundry baskets and I moved her bunk beds to the opposite side of the room, switching places with her dresser.

I still have her closet to go through and I have to toss a bunch of stuffed animals (it hurts my heart to do it, but they are taking over!!!!!!). I find that I can work for a while, but then I have to take a break and sit. I'm cramping today and I can't sit on the hardwood floor too long to clean.

So, you might see me more over this week as I clean rooms and take breaks. I'm hoping for a clean home when I am done, though!!!

One time I attempted at cleaning my sisters room for her but when she was with me. BAD IDEA - she didn't want to throw ANYTHING away!

Do you still want this jigsaw aged 3-5? YES

Argh lol... not the best idea!

But if your daughter isn't going to be there I'm sure it will be easier!

I cannot wait for the next three day weekend so ican get some stuff done here - I work at a school but the secretarial staff works through the vacation week with the principals... I hate those weeks myself - much rather have the teachers and the kids around!

Glad to hear you got some spring cleaning done! It does feel great!

Good luck with cleaning your daughter's room, Minda! I used to do that once in a while too, when my kids were small. It's so much easyer then.
Now I've got 1 teenage daughter left. The mess in her room.... :rollseyes
I'm going to make her clean it during her spring break next week. I'm expecting a lot of ssd: and :duel before it's done, LOL.

Minda, you sound JUST like me! I clean out the rooms, I have to sit on hardwood and it hurts! and I can't seem to work when they are home LOL!

:sweepnow that my kids areteenagers i dont have the annual ' you havent played with that for ages' spring clean. im an Leader with girlguiding so always managed to get rid of the toys to someone collecting for charity.

my daughter has now moved into the makeup etc phase. dont know which is worse:rollseyes

Well, I did get a lot done, but not enough. I need to finish this morning. Unfortunately, I woke up with a whopper of a headache, so I'm going to take some Midol for that and the cramps which have continued (and got really bad last night), before I tackle the room again...sigh...
