My rabbit had 7 kits two weeks ago yesterday they are in the bedroom part of hutch, can I clean it out now as they are urinating in here and its beginning to smell?

Also the kits haven't come out of the bedroom part so are not eating solid food I'm really unsure whether this is normal I have never breed rabbits before it wasn't planned,

Sorry but any help would be really appreciated.

At the age of 2 weeks baby rabbits are just starting to come out of the nest box. Some need a little bit of coaxing to come out. Try to put them in the main part of the cage. Also you can go ahead and clean the "bedroom" are out. The kits should have a nice coat of fur and have all of their senses by now. Make sure that you are playing with them each day ;) This will get them social. Also start to look for new homes for them for when they are ready to leave (6-8 weeks of age). I have found that all of my litters LOVE old fashoned uncooked oatmeal. I give this as a first food for the babies. Make sure that you do not give too much though. The mom will love it too.
