Anybody got any suggestions for a rat cage? its to house 2 boys but I want it at least 2'x3' (maximum 2'x4') and at least 3' high (Maximum 6 1/2' or 2metres). It also needs to be easy to clean. I have thought about building my own, but that will be a last resort! They have a plenty good enough cage at the moment, so maximum cost is £40 (about $76 USD). I wanted The Explorer/Marshall Mansion/Ferret Nation but as they range from £100-£800 its out of the question!

You are in the UK, so it is a little hard for us over here in the U.S. to suggest a cage for you...as you guys have different types of cages.

Follow the link that Eileen posted for you and join Goosemoose. We have UK members on there that can definitely help you.

:)

Amy(undergunfire) has her three boys in a ferret nation. although she did say something about Spook(5 wk old) not being able to go in there for awhile so size might be a problem for babies. my other ideas would be big bird cages and guinea pig/rabbit cages. just find a bar width for them and start cruising web sites!

and thanks to Amy, because all my idea are 'scammed' off of her cages(except for the cavy/rabbit cage idea, that came from a suggestion on the box of J's cage :p)

Yep, for babies or small females...the cage has to be modified :p.
