Chicago exotic vet

Hi! My bunny Gus is around 6 month old. I'm thinking about going to the vet to get him neutered. The problem is that one of his testicles seemed to not able to descend properly. The vet that I went for check up is charging me 450+ for the neutering and probably more for the surgery. I'm wondering if you guys have any recommendation for exotic vet near the North Chicago area. Thanks!

If you check the house rabbit society list for Chicago, there is one listing for a lost cost neutering place, but I don't know where it is in location to you, nor do I know if they have a good reputation or not. There are a lot of vets listed there too.
