Just took bunny to the vets further to my otherposting. The vet took a sample of scaley skin and looked undermicroscope and found Cheyletiella mites or fur mites he is now on acourse of antibiotics injections.

Has anyone elses bunny had this problem ??? I am about to disinfecthutch thouroughly.I got bunny in late september so the Vet said heprobably had them then but over time become over run with them. You cansee these mites only under a microscope .

Anyway if anyone elses bunny has had them can they tell me the outcome, when they went any advice etc.:(

as you said you can only see them with a magnifier as my vet checked over lucy

she was scratching and shaking her head all the time but the vet gaveher an injection as well and said if she does'nt stopscratching bring her bk for another one

i asked him how can she get them as she hasnt been next to any animalsand he replied she gets them from her mother when she wasborn
