Just a quick note to tell of the devastation Ifound on my return home from work yesterday. As you can see from theattached pic this is where my buns spend their time when I am at work.Well I came home to find the hutch had toppled over as a leg had seemedto snap, the white water canister had also been shifted across the roomand also (thoughI have no idea how)a folded up runthat was propped alongside the wallhad also fallen over. Allthese items were in a big heap in the main floor space of the bunsdayroom. Howmy buns were not squashed I have no idea. I foundthem both sitting there with bemused looks on their faces and instantlythought they had been up to no good.

BUT..........

I checked the leg of the hutch and there were no signs of nibbling orgnawing, and it just looks like bad workmanship on the part of thehutch construction, as it seemed to have just snapped right off whereit jioned the main underside of the hutch, and thisunbelievably had sent other things toppling. The hutch is only about 3months old and so I will be contacting the place where I bought it.

My buns were so lucky to have not been hurt and I'm sure they had quitea fright. So I just wanted to warn you all to check yourhutches regularly for faults, even if they are quite new.

:( poor babies!

I'm so happy they are ok! I check Bo's cage each time I cleanout his pan (every 2 to 3 days) just to make sure it's all still goodand secure and he's at floor level!

The joys of having a home made cage! You know it's good quality workmanship then.
