Hi All,

I've let my Wesley out of the cage, and all he does is chase Jordiaround and try to mount her. She just runs and runs and runs. I thinkshe's quite frightened. She doesn't attack him which is good. Should Ilet this go on, or try something different?

Thanks for the advice!

Steph

PS. Here's a funny pic of Jordi

Are they bothfixed? If they are then they are just showing each other who is boss.If they are not fixed then they are mating, and you will need toseparate them.

Rabbits mount each other to show dominance, all rabbits to it no matter what sex.

Wes probably still has some hormones hanginaround. He probably doesn't realize he's been snipped so he is tryingtrying to mate with her. Maybe wait a bit longer or just let them sniffeach other in a situation where he can't chase her. (i.e. while you'reholding them or while there's some sort of screen between them)

Great great great great picture of Jordi

He seems like he's going to attack the carrot with that wide grin of his ;)

Has she been spayed long enough that he won't hurt her?

He could still have some sperm in there, they have reserves orsomething, although it doesn't matter if she is spayed. I'msure there are some hormones. Make sure he's completelyhealed up too, so he doesn't get hurt.
