Hello! I’m new to this but I just came back from the vet 4 days ago and have noticed a change in my rabbits dewlap. It was there when she went but I want more information on it to make sure it’s nothing serious. I looked at it last night and it basically just looks like pink skin, no sores or cuts. Could someone help me out with this? Attached is a before then after picture. To describe it, it looks like a circle of missing hair. If needed I could probably get a better picture.

Try and get a clear close up photo with good lighting if possible. The first photo the dewlap looks normal, but I can't tell much from the second photo.

Is your rabbit molting right now or showing any signs of a false pregnancy(plucking fur out to build a nest)? Do you notice an abnormal lump around where the missing fur is or is it just normal dewlap?

Hi, it is hard to say anything from the second photo, her dewlap looks like if she's lost a bit of weight or something, but can be too sure as can't see skin etc.

What was the reason she was at vets and what treatment she's got there if any?

Here are some close ups. I’m thinking maybe she’s just shedding weirdly?

i think she might be molting but she is unspayed, her surgery is in 2 weeks. i haven’t noticed any lumps. here are some better close ups.

As long as there isn't a lump and the skin is normal, I wouldn't worry too much about it. Could be shedding like you said, or maybe she pulled some fur out herself since she is still unspayed and hormonal. Though when she goes in for her spay, you may want to mention it to the vet so they can take a closer look at it to make sure it's nothing.

When she is getting spayed ask the vet to have a good look at her teeth and burr them if necessary. It is possible the skin is getting irritated from saliva.
