So by chance, I'm getting a rabbit from my ex-girlfriend. She's in college, but her landlord doesn't want her to have it and her roommate is allergic to the materials in the rabbit's cage, so they asked me if I could take care of it for her until summer.

His name is Oreo, he's about 9 weeks old, and I'm going to do my best to make him feel at home. Figured it might help if I had some more experienced folks like you to help me do that.

Should I post a picture or something? I'm not sure how in depth my introduction is supposed to be...

Edit: Side note. I want to ask about whether it's a good idea or not to put a bandanna on a rabbit. Which board should I go to for that?

Welcome to RO! Nice of you to take your ex-girlfriend's bunny until the Summer.

Regarding the bandana, if he lets you. I wouldn't keep on all the time because he could possibly chew it up.

Definitely post a pic. Love seeing bunny pics.

K:)

A bandana would be fine for a picture, but I don't think Oreo would keep it on long after that. It'd be cute to see a picture with the ends of the bandana looking like 2 more ears, lol.

Well here's the little man himself. We don't know his birthday, but the guy who sold him to us said he's about 9 weeks old.

Also, so it's a yes on the bandanna? I thought a red one would go well with his fur, so I was going to get a small one from one of the "Build a Bear" stores or something. But I'm worried something might happen and he'll get hurt or it'll choke him.

I'd use one only when you're there to supervise, but he'd probably like it better if you made it into a ball for him to play with.

Oh, is he ever cute! Sure looks like an Oreo too - good name. I'd only put a bandana on as long as you were there too. If you're afraid of him choking or running into trouble, best not to do it. I find my instincts, or "little voice", knows more than I do! Welcome to the Board! I'm quite new myself and have really enjoyed the friendship and info. :)
