I have a new bunny, Weston, who is between 2 and 3 months old. I also have 2 cats. Smeagol is my oldest at 8 years old. He's a big boy--about 20 lbs. My youngest is Mia. I think she's 5 or 6. She has always been really tiny and is about the size of a kitten. So far Smeagol has been acting scared of Weston and won't go near his cage. He also has hunting behavior (even though both cats are indoors and are declawed) so I don't quite trust him with smaller animals. Mia acts very interested in Weston so last night I put her on my bed with him. I was petting her and praising her the entire time. She was a bit disgruntled but behaved really well and she was even purring. Weston LOVES her and kept sniffing her and curling up next to her. She definitely got a bit annoyed when he was in her face but she didn't growl, bite, hiss or swipe. She just turned her head. At first she was glued to my side but after about 15 minutes she sprawled out in the middle of my bed.
Am I doing intros right or is it too soon since i've only had Weston for 6 days? How would I go about intro'ing my other cat to Weston or is it not a good idea?

Sounds like a good start. I don't have cats, but I do have a dog. My bunnies are in the house and so is Jake, so we had to make sure harmony ruled here. Just like you are with your cats and your bunnies. I think bunnies are awesome because they do connect with all sorts of different domestic breeds. Our Jake has come, with "SUPERVISION on OUR PART" to respect them, and actually think they are his to protect. He will not let anything near his bunnies. And his bunnies do appreciate it. They always go to Jake to touch. He is their "Touch stone".

Always be cautious. Always be attentive. And you will be fine. They all should meet because they all live under your roof. Hoping you have the same harmony there, that we enjoy in our Tribe. Take your time.

I'd stick with getting the situation between the 2 firmed up, like for a couple weeks anyway.

What kind of hunting behavior has your bigger cat shown? Fear can often turn into attacking, so I'd be very careful about this. How do the 2 cats get along? Is the 20 pounds all muscle, or is part of it overweight?

Smeagol stalks my mice (he can't get to them tho). He has always been good at catching bugs and has caught and killed a few wild mice in our basement. Smeagol is not muscular, just fat. My 2 cats LOVE each other. They are always together and if Mia can't find Smeagol she searches every room crying for him. Mia is the epitome of a scaredy cat. We joke that she got PTSD while still in the womb. I have never seen her lash out out of fear. She can't stand my dogs and if they go near her she growls and runs away. It would definitely be awhile before I could trust Smeagol with Weston. Things look promising with Mia tho.

My two cats (one of which is also about 20lbs) get along great with Harvey, it does help that Harvey was very forward with them and my older cat loves everyone. They will show hunting behavior with birds and insects and spots of light (yes haha). But with Harvey, he's more like a strange looking cat. I do watch how they interact since my cats still have claws. Harvey can get very pushy with them.

I think I'd concentrate on a bond with the smaller cat Weston is nearly full-grown. I wonder if when he's hormonal it actually might help him seem like less of a prey creature.
