I played with one at Best Buy today for over an hour, and OMG....I am ready to sell every thing I own to get that camera. I found it cheap on Ebay for $500 with a lens and a bag. Has anyone else found one for cheaper if you have this camera or were looking to buy one?

Ryan really wants to buy it for me, but $500 on top of the money already on our credit card, ugh...it stinks. We are hoping he gets a $500 bonus on this next check or the one in 2 1/2 weeks, then he said he will buy it for me.

I MUST have ittttt .

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhh!!!!

I know how you feel! I have the model down from it.... I don't know about US prices, but OMG I love my camera and it doesn't even have as good a spec as that one!!!

I really hope you can get it!!

Which lens did it have on Ebay? The 'kit' lens I think is the 18-55mm IS, which is a pretty good lens.... I have the non image-stabilised version....

Bless Ryan! What a great boyfriend to offer to buy you that with his bonus! :)

Hehe, I got that camera for Christmas! Our friend accidentally told me what I was getting and Paul decided to just give it to me early. My camera bag and book I ordered just arrived and I have tomorrow off work, so plan to start learning how to use it!

Ahh, you are soo lucky. I'd do anything to have the camera right now :(. I've always dreamed of a DSLR and now that I have found one I REALLY want....it's driving me nuts!

That's a fab camera, but I would strongly advice against buying any DSLR second hand, they only have a limited shutter life expectancy and no matter how perfect the condition is you just can't tell how hard it has been used. It's very easy to reset the counter and sell a camera that has done more than it's expectancy as brand new, and then you could be buying a camera that is ten clicks away from dying. And once the shutter goes, it will cost more than the camera is worth to repair and have a lower life than it originally did anyway.

Definitely a good choice of camera, but if you're going to buy one get one brand new. And make sure you get insurance for it. :)

Thank you, Jenson! Your information helped me a lot!

Ryan and I are going to wait it out and try to just save money to get the camera. I'm trying to sell my "critter beds" on the rat forums, so I just need to sell about 70 of them to buy the camera. I sell them for $10 each...so I am hoping I can raise most of the $700 or so it would take to buy this camera.
