:party:Happy Canada Day! :Canada small:

Just got off work, maybe I'll head out to the shelter this afternoon unless the wife wants to see some of the activities.
We have fireworks in the river valley. Idon't stay up to watch them at 11:00 pm, but I can hear them from our house.

Here is a picture of the river valley that I took on Sunday.

HAPPY CANADA DAY :Canada small:

Watched a parade near where I live this morning, then went to the celebrations in the local park. There were 1000's of people there . Had a go at archery, met a buffalo(!) and watched lots of activities. Not sure about going to the fireworks tonight, but had a good (long) day :)!

Hope everyone else enjoyed it!

Had a good long day too.

All the rabbits got fed and the cages were cleaned at the shelter. I was able to help a young lady with her friends adopt a baby mini rex. She might join the forum. Then I was able to come home to play with Fuzzy's two bunnies (I am bunny sitting them) and to play with my two bunnies.

Canada Days are always good. Last year I spent the day doing a rabbit display in Millwoods with some of the local breeders.

Jan,I justtasted my first bison meat at an expensive restaurant on Sunday . :embarrassed:

aaww....she looks like she should be part of a Canadian rock band with that hat and hair...'Nickelbun' or sumthin' :biggrin2:

I hope everyone up here north of the US had a great Canada Day! I usually take my dog down to The Hill during the day and check out the street performers, etc., but since she's getting older now, I don't think the crowds would be to her liking (I know they're not to mine ;)). Last year I went downtown with her and she wound up interrupting a street performer's act - LOL...he made the mistake of pointing her out during his routine and she wouldn't shut up after that! She kept barking at him to get his attention.

Right now she's a bit freaked out because someone in the neighbourhood has been setting off fireworks for the past hour. Where that kind of thing never used to bother her, now she starts shaking and pacing. Add to that the sounds of the Canada Day fireworks (we're a few miles from Parliament Hill, but can still hear them very well) and my poor dog will soon be a basketcase! Ah well, at least we had a nice quiet day strolling through the old military base here - weather was absolutely perfect and we had the entire place to ourselves.

Anyway, Happy 142, Canada!!!!!!! :D
