After loosing both Merlin and Midnight suddenly Voldi was left on his own. Although he lived on his own there is no doubt that he loved spending time with the other two although between bars. He seemed lonely and I found a 9 month old netherland buck for sale. The picture on the ad was definatly not the same rabbit. I brought him regardless he is so friendly. He is a dutch I think, so a lot bigger than voldi and uneutured (used for breeding a couple of times). He has his own run and hutch but could they be bonded? I'm thinking not without neuturing my new one (I called him thumper) but just checking. Neuturing is a possibility but they're both fine living on their own next to each other I don't believe it is necessary. :D

I truly believe it depends on the male personality. If one is already neutered, they don't have that tendency to be so territorial or dominate. I have an unneutered male, Willard who is a pleasure. He doesn't mark, he's not aggressive to other bunnies that come near his crate. Have I tried bonding? Not yet but I think I truly could bond Dobby, my neutered male to Willard. They do enjoy each other's company when sitting next to each other in their crates.

It depends on that bunnies personality. Just observe and see how it goes.

I think there is a good possibility they'll be fine. I'd keep the new one in a different room for awhile, though, just to make sure he isn't sick with something that Voldi can catch.

Good point. I did with all of my "new" arrivals. Kept the "new" one separated for about two weeks. Had no problems. I had the "newbie" in the kitchen so that they could hear the others and also smell them, as well the guys already there. They all knew a new arrival was there.

Great thanks for the advice. I only brought him home a few hours ago so wasn't planning on putting them near each other for a while. I'll wait a couple of weeks for him to settle in. Fingers crossed they'll be able to bond after a couple of months. :)
