I wish I could find my post on the history of the American Rabbit Breeders Association (too lazy to type it all out right now).

Basically, ARBA started out under a different name and was a pet animalassociation. Eventually, all animals except rabbits andcavies (guinea pigs) were dropped from the association and thecavyname was also later dropped from theclub name.

Guinea pigs are still included in the club today as you noted on the website.

Cavies (guinea pigs) and rabbits are listed together for alot of the breeder associations and shows.

Yes, they are frequently sanctioned together. I wouldeventually like to get a cavy judging license (I would have to get acavy registrar's license first). I believe ARBA will soon bepassing a resolution to ease the requirements on the number of shows adouble license (rabbit/cavy) applicant must work.
