Can rabbits catch illnesses?

I've had the flu for a few days now and my bunny stays in my room. Sometimes I bring him into bed with me but I don't kiss him on the nose like I usually do. Is it possible he can catch the flu/stomach flu from me? I hope not He seems fine now, I'm just worried.

As far as I know, rabbits can't catch illnesses from humans. Especially not the stomach flu.

Somethings, like ringworm (bacteria) can be passed along to several species while other things have a harder time being transmitted. Most viruses are species specific. There are exceptions to everything though.
