Looking for a large diy bottom I can use to make a "floor" for my xpen.
I'm getting a house rabbit in the future and am preparing for it's arrival now. I have an x-pen for the rabbit to get hop time...but we have carpeted floor except for our small tile kitchen, entry and bathroom... so I'd like to get or make a large liner/ floor/ bottom to absorb any poops or pee until the rabbit is litter trained. Something that will absorb the pee but not saturate through to the carpet (their pee is quite thick) but not dangerous if they chew on it and can be cleaned with vinegar and water. I have a huge box of 10 display poster boards...I planned on either laying them out in a grid patter over the cardboard box them came in and setup the x-pen inside this "grid"....would this work? I've heard of ppl using cardboard, tile, those stick on tiles, or wood. It's fine if you have an idea that is a small project...I'd like to use the cardboard the posterboard/cloroplast came in to use as one layer of a "cage" bottom/liner and fold up the edges, set the x pen with the edges so they can keep the hay etc inside the xpen.
