Can bunny catch illness from me?

I've had the flu for a few days. My rabbit's cage is in my bedroom meaning he's been near me the whole time. I haven't kissed him or gotten too close to him and I always wash my hands before feeding him. Could he get sick still?

im not sure but i also had the flu and wondered if my bunny could get sick from me.

Generally no, rabbit can't get most things from you, and most things they can get, you cannot get from them. But, rabbits CAN be carriers of something you have had without contracting it themselves. So, the next person to touch your bunny can get whatever you have had; basically, all that to say just use general good handwashing etc.
