So I am on the hunt for a new camera. I am for sure getting a Canon Eos of some sort... I can't decide on which one though. I'm still sitting back in the past with a Canon Rebel 35mm haha..... its time to update

The way Mega Pixals was explained to me, they said 12 was almost too many. I like getting a lot of my pictures developed to hang on the wall, with that being said, what would be the best to go for? 10mp, 12, 15?

I was thinking of going with the Canon Xsi. It's the 12mp. And has the video recording on it too. it and the Canon Xs (10mp) are priced similarly on Amazon.

I'd just like opinons or help. It would be GREATLY appreciated. I just do not understand camera lingo.

I have a camera (Olympus E-420, more or less an entry-level DSLR) but honestly, I still am not well versed in the lingo and how they work. Unfortunately I don't have any suggestions, but thought I'd bump this up for you so someone who is camera-savvy might be able to help you. :)

Thank you !

I ended up getting the Canon Rebel T1i. I've been sick and havent gotten to go out and use it so its been kind of disapointing. But will get out before long

To be honest all those MP choices sound fine. Any Canon entry level dslr will likely give you some gorgeous pics to treasure :) I hope you get to shoot some pictures soon!!

And, you can always post camera related questions in the Camera Corner subforum. We have some very savvy members (and mods) on RO :)

I thought there was a part for cameras, and I couldn't find it when I was in a hurry. I'm on a couple different forums and figured I overlooked it.

Thanks for your help guys.

I didn't realize there was a camera subforum either (and I've been here for years! lol). I'll have to take a look at it; heaven knows I can always use some tips. ;)

Enjoy your new camera!
