I need to figure out abetter cage for wilbur. Basically we are throwing out the coroplast that the bottom was used in his NIC cage. He scratched it up so much that I can't get any stains out and the smell is awful. I have him in a super pet cage right now, but this is just temporary until we can figure out to do. What other stuff do you guys use other than coroplast for the bottom of the cage? Would vinyl flooring work?

So far I'm using coroplast with no problems-fingers crossed it stays that way with her pee peeing in her litterbox!

You could try to get a piece of plywood or something and put peel and stick tiles on it? I think linolium would do just as good as coroplast.

ratmom...I have pegboard covered in linoleum peel & stick tiles on both my buns' cage floors, and through all the digging they do, they've never done any damage to the tiles. Hope that helps!

Not to mention...they're EASY to sweep and clean up!! :) When we first brought Flower home, she was NOT litter trained AT ALL, and had a large spot where she had (unbeknownst to me) peed and pooped. I sprayed the 50/50 vinegar/water solution on it, and wiped it right up! It was great!! :)

Oh, and the tiles are CHEAP, too!!

We also have peel-n-stick linoleum tiles over plywood for Trixie's floor. Anytime she misses her litterbox and pees on the linoleum, I just wipe it up with some vinegar and water on a paper towl and PRESTO! DONE! No mess...and it's also very easy to vacuum up the mess, too....
JUST ONE THING I FORGOT TO MENTION: Some linoleum tiles are EXTREMELY slippery. MAKE SURE you get a dull surfaced tile so your bunny doesnt slip and slide all over the floors. They have furry feet and it's like us trying to run around on wood floors in socks...

Thanks for all the suggestions, I'm going to try the tiles for sure. Anytime he peed I did wipe it up, but since he scratched the coroplast like crazy you can't get it all cleaned. Thanks so much guys :)
