hornyness to stop lmbo ihave never ever had a male rabbit and 2nd have never had a pet rabbitneutered. about how long does it take for hismounting behavior to stop???



btw his surgery went well!! hes eating drinking andplaying like nothing happend. he goes back in one week tohave stitches removed.

I've heard very mixing things on this...butHomer was done on Monday and was with Oreo today and he wasn't mountingher near as much as before. He's only 4 months old soguessing maybe the hormones weren't as ingrained in him yet....sohopefully it'll be done quicker with him!! I've heard weeks and I'vealso heard it can take months!

Napoleon was neutered five weeks ago and is justnow starting to behave. He was still mounting the girls lastweek, but I haven't seen him do it for a few days now.

Napoleon looks just like Cadbury. Pam said she thought Po Powas a New Zealand mix. Is Cadbury people-friendly?Napoleon is the sweetest bunny I ever met. He LOVES to havehis cheeks stroked and will sit still as long as you want to pet him.

Sometimes the mounting doesn't stop either,Chompers has been fixed for a year anda half and he stillmounts Abby. It doesn't always have to do with "horniness" persay, butdominance in the herd.

However, I've found life with a buck much more enjoyable after aneuter. No more spraying or peeing outside the cage and in general abetter behaved bun. I say in general because my other buck Valuran isvery mischievous!

cad is extremely people friendly and also loveshis cheeks rubbed. he sat all the way to the front of the carrier onthe ride home from the vet so i could rub hischeeks. hes around a 1yr old so i bet itsgonna take a while then for this behavior to stop. i wouldlove to get him in the new cage along with kitty in the future as theydo get along very well when he isnt trying to mount herlol
