Buying Veggies

Is anyone scared to buy fresh veggies now like Iam? My husband and I are vegetarians, I have rats, rabbit and a beardeddragon all veggie eaters. How are we suppose to trust buying vegetablesin the grocery store anymore, it's totally ridiculous. I'm going tostart growing my own veggies so if anyone has any good suggestions onwhat kinds of lettuce seeds to get let me know. We usually buy the darkor red romaine for our wilbur.

I don't know about the types, but just a bit ofadvice, don't plant too many lettuce seeds at the same time.They mature, then flower all of the sudden, and when it's all at thesame time, you just can't eat it all.

I know how you feel. Everytime I pick up a bunch of lettuce or kale I think...what if?
