Hi all,

I was wondering, what's the behaviorial difference between spayed girl buns and neutered boy buns as house rabbits?

I am starting to think about getting a 3rd bun, a queen for my King Kirby. But I am so partial to boy buns because I have two wonderful ones :)

Are there any general differences in terms of behavior between the genders, after having been fixed?

Thanks!

My opinion is that once they arealtered they are equally nice.

Ihave both boys and girls and all of them are altered and all of them have very distinct personalities;I havenice boys and nice girls anddifficult onesof both sexes also.

just reread your post
2 girls are more likely to do betterin a threesome with 1 boy

than 2 boys and 1 girl.; the 2 boys may both want the girl.

I had 2 boys 1 girl and she divorced the boys. :shock:My buns are weird. They than had a 3rd boy join them. That girl is now on a new man.

Each one of my spayed girls is so different but so are the boys. I have only one unneutered male here. He is still sweet as pie. 2 if you count my foster Gabriel.

May just be coincidence, but my girls have always been a little more independent, more easily stressed, and more territorial than my boys. (All rabbits spayed/neutered)
My boys have been more laid back and tend to take attention whenever you're willing to give it, vs the girls who would hop away if they weren't in the mood.

As others said, it's more about the individual rabbit's personality. Gender may have a slight impact, but there's no guarantee. In my opinion, breed is a bigger influence on behavior than gender, but still, there's no guarantees.
