Hey guys...

I've noticed that my Bunny doesn't want to jump onto things that are very high off the ground. For instance, we have a small cat-sized carrier on the floor of her play area that's about a foot high. She's wanted to jump on top of the thing since we brought her home, but just never tried...until I brought a capri-sun box into the room, and she scootched it over, and used it as a step. (She was so proud of herself, and so was I!!)

Is it normal for a young bunny to have some apprehension about jumping onto things that high up?

It really depends on the bunny. Some are more curious than others.

So, for my bunny, should I provide a ramp for her to get to other levels in the cube cage we're going to build?

Jordi is vertically challenged. Never jumped on anything in her life.

Wesley used to be a jumper but Jordi taught him that life is better at ground level :).

It really does depend on the bunny and the age. When Oreo (rip) was young she wouldn't jump on anything. When she was fully grown, she would leap up onto everything! A week before she died, Oreo was feeling good and tried to jump onto the couch, but just barely didn't make and slid back down. I felt so bad for her! Silly old bunny!
