Hey!
I have a room that is dedicated to my Reptiles and my Bunny, Chive. Her litter habits are amazing! And she is getting fixed soon. Once she is fixed I really want to give her full run of this room during the day, and only have her caged at night. I have only one cord in the entire room and Chive loves to chew on it... :rollseyes it is the heating pad to my African Fat Tail Gecko. I have tried bitter spray, which helped a wee bit, but not for long! How can I get her to stop chewing the cord?!

You could buy a length of clear vinyl tubing from the plumbing section of a hardware store, cut it to the length you need, and slit it open. Then stick the wire inside and let the tubing act like a sleeve. Even if she nibbles on the vinyl, the wire will be safe. I think you can buy cord protectors too but the vinyl tubing is much cheaper and easily replaceable if she still wants to chew it. I always have a roll of the 1/2" stuff on hand for my reef tank; it's less than $.50 a foot. :)

You're not going to be able to train her out of it. The only thing that works is to make the wires inaccessible. I let Natasha have free run of most of my house, including the computer/ham radio room. Where there are wires (and there are LOTS in a computer and ham radio shack) I've put them behind barriers, either old table leaves or NIC-cube wire fencing. For some wires, I just tacked them to the wall above head height. It seems that if the wire is above Natasha's head and flat against the wall, she just ignores it. If you have to run a wire across a floor, Staples or Home Depot have rubber channels which are designed for offices which will shield the wires.
