Hi,

My GF and I used to live together with her bunny. Now for reasons we dont live together anymore since last week and she moved to another city(although not far) So i dont get to see and pet the bunny everyday.

I dont know if this is the reason but since the bunny moved out with her owner, the bunny appears to be really sad, sometimes not eating, and cries a lot. This breaks my heart and i dont know what to do. Should I go see the bunny as often as possible or should i just let her getting used to me not being there everyday. Or should i recommed my GF to take the rabbit to vet?

If anyone had similar experience can you please share how you solved this?

Thanks.

If a rabbit is not eating or hardly eating for more than 12 hours, that is considered an emergency and the rabbit needs to be taken to a rabbit vet immediately! So yes, I would immediately suggest the rabbit be taken to a knowledgeable rabbit vet if the rabbit is currently not eating or barely eating, and it's been this way for more than 12 hours, or sooner than 12 hours if there are any concerns or indications the rabbit is unwell. Rabbits don't cry in that way. Watery red eyes is an indication of illness, possibly extremely serious.

Watery eyes and/or red eyes is an indication of illness or perhaps a dental issue. Either one would mean a trip to the vet to determine what is going on. Be sure it is a rabbit savvy vet.

"sometimes not eating"? As Jenny warned, if a rabbit refuses to eat for 12 hours it is considered an emergency.
