My boy Jupiter is wicked brave. He will stay on his side while I vacuum near him. He is also free roam and was running at full speed this morning (woke me up). I thought he was playing at first and maybe he was... But I went to see what he was doing and I watched him smoosh himself behind a chest of drawers I have. Sometimes he goes back there and it's annoying but it's not a place he can get stuck - he always wiggles through with ease.

This time though he started thumping like crazy and seemed like he couldn't get out. I absolutely panicked and somehow moved the chest (which originally took 3 people to move - definitely an adrenaline rush) and he walked out very slow and scared. He went and shoved himself under another annoying spot and sat there for about 15 minutes stomping and grunting, rejecting nose rubs and papaya.

I still cant get him to come out and it's been 40 minutes. I did move what he was hiding behind and he looks fine, moved normally etc.. but he refuses to leave and keeps stomping. I've never seen him this scared. Is it normal for them to get this upset or would you think he was hurt?

Update during writing: he just came out but is terrified of me! He's never run away from me ever. I've had him for 6 months!

Take time, he will come back after he have calmed down. You can try to lure him with treats and show you mean no harm.

It’s like my indoor rabbit when my mother was taking foot bath, he ran away and hid behind the aquarium while thumping and grunting.

Took hours before he came out but when he calmed down, he was back to the usual brave bunny.

If he dosen’t get better he might be hurt or feeling pain, but often they come back again. Treats will always help my rabbits but they are foodies like me [emoji4]

Yes, just what hermelin said. It can take a while for a rabbit to calm down when it gets freaked out about something. I would just keep a close eye and make sure there are no signs of injury and that your bun starts eating and drinking again with in 12 hours, which would be by now since this happened early morning/last night for you.
