Yes, bunnies can and will over-eat. How much does she weigh? That way, you can figure out how much to give her.

I think the general rule is 1/8 cup per pound,soI would feed her probably a 1/4-1/2 cup a day of pellets (since she'sgrowing), plus all the hay she can eat.

[I'm no expert, so someone else may have better advice]

In my handy dandy House Rabbit Handbook it saysthat from 7 weeks to 7 months there should be unlimited pellets andalphala hay, then from 7 months to a year pellets should start beingcontroled.

I don't know anything from personal experiance however. That's just what the book says.

It's not 1/8 cup per pound! My boys are 6 lbs and should be fed 1/4 cup. But someone will be able to tell you the exact amount.

Under 7 or 8 months old they should have free rein on pellets.

Is it bad if my 4 month old bun, Pixie eats like a hog?seriously, she wont stop eating sometimes! lol :)
I wonder if Pixie is related to Lenci...:D

I think Gir is related to. He eatsEVERYTHING, including crawling up on the chair to get to our plates tolick up the mushroom and pork gravy

We stopped him when we caught him, but sheesh! You wrinkle any plastic bag and he is there pawing at your leg.

But since my best guess is his age at 3months, I am letting him eat hisfill of pellets. I put in Guin's serving at a time, but sheseems to prefer to eat only hay. Occasionally I see her atthe pellets, but she MUCH prefers to gorge on hay. But Girhas a place only he can get to which has a bowl with pellets in it.
